late periods

For years my period was regular- coming a couple days before or on the 28th day. However... a few months ago it started coming late. Now it comes as much as a couple weeks late. I'm not on birth control or anything, and I'm STD free... I'm not even having vaginal sex.

Any ideas why my period has randomly starting coming late??

Women's cycles *do* change sometimes even if there's no apparent reason for it. It's possible that your cycle's just changing it's timing. If you keep track of it, you may be able to see if the number of days between start days are increasing or what's happening, but it could be irregular for a month or two.

Obviously, if you''re getting heavier bleeding, more cramping, etc., you should probably take a trip to the doctor just to make sure that there's nothing wrong!

Could be stress. Could be something new about your diet.

Could just be lifes way of telling you not to get too comfortable for some reason. ;-)
