I must rant about something real fast.

I used that bladeless razor Veet stuff today...and I guess I didn't realize soon enough that I got it on my arm. I looked at my thigh which had it on there, and there was a mark, evidently from my arm. I was like, nooooo, and wiped it off. It wasn't until later when I looked at it again that I noticed that the patch of skin was now hairless. So, my arm is naked in one spot.

At least I know that stuff works. But man, does it look funny now!

Ahhh don't get me started with the roll on wax. That was painful, and after a while of that pain and not getting all the hair, I gave up. You know, it's hard for me to find hair removal products that work. Nair never did, the roll on wax wasn't that successful, and there's also this other Veet stuff that comes in a tall can with a sponge. You spray it on instead of applying it with your hands like shaving cream. It burns, or at least it burned me. But the kind that comes with the little pink "bladeless razor" actually works, and in about three minutes too. How long it lasts is another story. If your leg hair grows back pretty quickly (like mine), I wouldn't expect to be hair-free for more than a couple days. But hey, it beats shaving and getting cuts or razor burn.

Not anymore than shaving would. I get them too. They're not THAT bad. What I like about the Veet (even though my hair still grows back fast) is that I don't get any irritation like I would if I shaved, and the dark spots at the pores aren't as visible.

does it sting? i don't trust veet after seeing their "on safari for a whole month?" veet wax commercials about three years ago.

personally i hate hair removal but for the past few months i have been sugaring my legs and i only have to do it every so often... but it takes ages...

If you get the Veet bladeless razor kit, that comes with the pink thing, I don't think you'll have to worry about it stinging. The stuff has the consistency of shaving cream, basically. But it doesn't smell as good. On the same note, it doesn't really smell that bad either.

If you get the stuff in the tall can that comes with the little sponge thing in the cap, be prepared for some stinging/burning. I tried that stuff once, and never again. You spray it on till you get a decent layer on your legs, wait, then rub it off. I don't know why it burned so bad, but it did. The bladeless razer stuff goes on just like you would apply shaving cream, and it doesn't burn.

for some reason i have never had much luck with depilatories (sp?). it'd put it on my leg and maybe four hairs would wiggle out & the smell would make me nauseous.

Do you have dark hair? I tried Nair a while ago and since my hair is so dark, consequently thick and hard to get rid of w/o a razor, it worked on the spots that were thinly covered... so does it work on people with dark thick hair?

Yes, I have dark hair, and unluckily enough, even darker leg hair! it works so well on the fronts of my lower legs where the hair is the most abundant. I was really surprised how well it works. And it's equally as good where my legs are thinly covered.

veet has some pretty gnarly chemicals in it. i read the bottle and it listed urea. i dont know exactly what that is but it sounds harsh and its a form of acid. whatever works though...

that veet stuff burned my leg and didn't get all the hair off...i hate it.

(i have really dark leg hair - of course, even my hair on my head is natually black..grr.. - and it's pretty thick...all those things, nair, veet, etc. hate me and won't work well.)
