Light Period

After being a week late for my period, I finally decided to go take a home pregnangy test. It wasnt one of the early ones, which i was told to take after I had already bought/used it, but im not sure why i would need an early detecting one since i had sex over 2 weeks ago and about a week late. But, it came out negative which i was very relieved about. Now today, I FINALLY got my period, but im a little skeptical because I didnt get bad cramps like I usually do and its been really really light. I was working (waitress) while I got it so im moving around a lot, would that be a reason for no cramps and it being light? the only reason i am still nervous is because I know you can still get your "period" while pregnant, but its very light and I its called spotting. I know I should wait till tomorrow to see if it becomes heavier, but thats along time from now and any info would really be great :) thank you!!

Actually, until it's been more than a month (or, for some tests, two months) after conception, the hormone levels won't trigger a regular pregnancy test. even if you had unprotected sex more than two weeks ago, you still need an early test.

the early detection tests can register as early as eight days after conception and, according to my ob/gyn, are usually fairly accurate. i wouldn't stress terribly unless your period continues to get lighter over time, or you notice other pregnancy symptoms.

omg, that same exact thing is happening to me! I had PROTECTED sex with my boyfriend but I'm still afarid [because there is always that chance] I wasn't late for my period, I actually started right on time, but its really light and I'm afarid I could possibly still be pregnant.. I asked my boyfriend to buy me a test last night :\ I'll take it today when I see him
