Jul. 27th, 2004 10:13 amI checked the memories and saw that Vitamin C helps induce a period. I saw the parsley tea but does anyone have any suggestions on the vitamin c such as dosage amounts and what works the best for most people. I'm in need here.
Thanks

Date: 2004-07-31 02:05 am (UTC)5000 mgs of C a day or so - go as high as you can tolerate without causing loose stool and if that happens, keep it up if you can tolerate it, helps with purging action, get the powder to put in water if you can find it (at your local health food store along with herbs), need to do several days ahead of expected period for best result
SURE THINGS
Ragweed
Rue (angelica is a good helper)
Cotton Root
Quinine Sulfate (pharmaceutical) or Peruvian Bark aka Jesuit
aka Cichona (latin name) the herbal source of quinine
Pennyroyal sure but can be toxic
I keep seeing false Unicorn root listed for late menses but no herb store seems to carry it : (
digital stimulation of the cervix (stimulate your cervix with your finger, or a clean tool) until you feel cramps, Keep it up
!!!!!Tansy, mistletoe and Male fern are poisonous and can cause death or blindness DO NOT USE! !!!!
Ginger is traditional and does seem to help - several pills at a time (from herb store) each day for several days
queen annes lace is mild
sheperds purse and yarrow are supposed to induce periods but not very strong as far as I know
caraway seed mild
celery supposed to
pot and LSD both will induce cramping
if this is more info than you need, sorry, a subject of research and interest that may become very necessary in the current anti-woman political climate
