i was thinking of getting on the nuvaring....i think thats what its called...i'd like to know all the pros and cons before. also, from somebody who has used it- it seems sorta messy, is it?

not messy at all! i think it's seriously fantastic. honestly, i LOVE it! i had some troubles with it my first month (in the form of a yeast infection), but, so far, it's really been just fine. if you want to ask more questions about it or whatever, nuva_ring is a great place for that. the official website can answer the more basic questions, though...

It's fabulous.
I loved it so much.
I'd be on it now but I'm sleeping with a guy with quite a few genital piercings and it got annoying because it always got caught.
but other than that...it works with your body like the pill. it's so carefree. i didn't have any side effects. it was perfect for me.

you know, i LOVE the ring too. maybe it's not for you if you can't handle touching yourself, or getting pretty intimate (because for me at least it can be a bit of a reach to get it out), but you only have to do that every couple of weeks and other than that it REALLY rocks. i never have to do it while i have my period because my cycle does not work that way, i don't have to use tampons/my keeper and the ring at the same time or anything, so that isn't a problem either. i highly recommend the ring.
