Ok I've got one more question but I thought I'd make a different post for it. Does anyone else get spaced out on Midol? My cramps are really bad and Midol gets rid of them but for two days I'm in a daze. I feel like I can't do anything. I can't eat (which is good I guess) go workout or do anything. It's terrible!!!

not being able to eat is *not* good actually....especially with some pain meds. but in general it makes your body weaker, more susceptible to aches or weakness or whatever... if it is linked to midol, you might try other things to relieve your cramps (naproxin sodium or ibuprofen, both of which *must* be taken with some food or at least a glass of water if you're taking them steadily) and see how they work, and if they have weird side effects...good luck!

I have a perscription- and it's horrible horrible stuff. It makes my entire internal chest area feel like it's being burned.. and it does worse with pain than Midol. So just go for Tylenol. Or. Well. So I advise.

naproxin sodium is one of the category of drugs (including ipuprofen and aspirin) which are acidic enough that they can indeed give you a burning feeling in chest/stomach and even lead to ulcers, especially if you take them dry. i am assuming you take your naproxin sodium with at least a full glass of water (if not, that's why you're getting pain!)--try taking it with a full glass of milk at least or a full glass of liquid and some food. if you're already doing that, it could be your body just can't handle the high dose you're on...talk to your doc about trying a lower dose combined with tylenol, or about maybe taking an antacid buffer with it...

I don't care for Midol. I find that Tylenol does the trick. If you read Midol's ingredients it's mostly acetaminophen which is the generic name for Tylenol.
