menstrualhutmy period is due around this week and i think that i got it today BUT it is rather light and i'm confused... what is spotting and could that be it instead of my period? does spotting only occur when you're pregnant or when/why?

It would be too light to warrant a cup/tampon or even a regular pad. I spotted for 3 weeks straight when I started my second month on the patch. Stress can cause it. Diet can cause it. Lots of stuff.
