Phantom Period?
Sep. 6th, 2004 01:51 amI know I don't really post here often, or reply often enough because I'm shy and I really don't feel all that knowledgable, but here's one devil of a question:
Anyone ever have such a thing as a 'phantom period?' I know there's such a thing as a phantom limb, for amputees, but really...
This week I got my period about 4 days early, which has NEVER ever happened before. Ever since I've gotten it, I've skipped one month total, the month right after I got it the first time and then it went on a regular cycle of about 28 days. It ended this week one day after I 'should' have started.
It's really odd because always after my moontime I feel calmer and more relaxed, I never experience any sort of pms or symptoms and I feel more in touch with myself as a woman. This is not true in this case.
I feel bloated, pmsy, I'm actually cramping a bit (like I usually do right before) or perhaps I'm just imagining it, but I don't think so. I'm having all the usual cravings and signs of my lovely friends, the period pimples. It's just incredibly bizarre, it's like my body didn't really realize I'd already had it and just went along like it would have, except there was no egg to get rid of.
Any thoughts?
