i'm kind of annoyed... my period is back at a 35 day cycle. lately it has been an average of 31 days this year (compared to the normal 28 i used to have when it wasn't screwed up), and its bothering me because i want to put in my nuva ring! and also, the length of my cycle is too long. really.

i haven't gained or lost weight recently, i've been exercising regularly, and eating healthy for the most part (ok, i'm a sucker for chocolate). school hasn't really been stressing me out or anything either. but, i do have some cramps, gas, severe mood swings and sore boobies that go along with my period.

wtf, mate.

Woooo wtf, mate. That made me laugh. "And the Australians were still like, 'double yew, tee eff, mate?'"

Yeah, I think you can technically start it whenever, but if you start like in the middle of your cycle you won't be protected from pregnancy until like a month later or something like that. But maybe putting it in will kick start your period this month and the more you use it, the more regular you will eventually become.

Ha, I agree.

About the ring thing, you should still be able to start whenever and use it to force your period into some sort of normal pattern even if you're NOT getting it for some reason. Really, as long as you know for a fact that you're not getting your period due to a pregnancy or some other sort of complication, you can generally still use it...they just advise you to wait so it doesn't throw off your period (which you aren't getting anyhow) and so you know you're not pregnant (which, if you've been tested or not sexually active, you obviously aren't).

I empathize...my cycle has decided to be up for a recent change, as well. It jumped from an extremely "normal" 28-day plan to a 35-day plan. During the transition phase, I had a break in my period where it stopped then restarted for an extra 2 days. After 12 years of my good ol' 28-day cycle, these past 3 months of my horrible 35-day cycle have been hell. Along with the change has come agonizing cramps the first two days of my period, and off-and-on cramps sporadically haunt me throughout the other days of my cycle.

*hugs* I feel your annoyance!
