hey guys, i'm asking here because I know you would know... is it possible at all to get pregnant if his penis was never inside my vagina? I've heard horror stories about sperm "wiggling" up from thighs and stuff... I just wonder. I gave my boy a blow job last night, and now I'm scared... One of us kept our underwear on at all times.. we were never completely naked together... I'm curious though.. help ASAP!

usually, if you get pregnant without actual penetration, it's because the sperm got on the very inner upper thigh, pretty near the vagina, or somewhere in that general vicinity, when there wasn't so far for the little spermies to wiggle.

i seriously doubt the sperm could wiggle from your mouth (or hand) to your vagina, unless it fell in the general vicinity of your vagina or for some reason you got sperm on your hand and then touched yourself or something without washing first. i mean, sure, it's possible (sperm live for...what is it, five days? who knows what feats they are capable of?) but not very probable... *shrug*

forgive me, i'm incoherent from lack of sleep.

I wouldn't worry too much...
it's entirely possible, but extremely, extremely rare...
the average male releases about two tablespoonfuls of sperm when he ejaculates -- usually this occurs inside the female body, and the thousands of sperm he has released have to begin a rather long climb into the cervix -- constantly fighting off the woman's natural immunie system response to sperm -- why most women don't get pregnant after trying for months and months -- the body actually fights off sperm, too... and then those same sperm have to fight each other to get to the egg, which is pretty hard to penetrate in itself...
so, assuming any that you got on you was probably not directly in your vagina, and most probably not very much (certainly not the two tablespoons which would normally be deposited much closer to your cervix), I'd say those sperm (much less than usual) have very little chance of making the long climb up your vagina and into your cervix (they're definitely not climbing up your leg, sperm need some sort of fluid to swim through) -- much less probable of meeting the egg at just the right time of month for the two to collide....
so, I'm guessing you're probably safe... although it's not entirely impossible... I used to have this same worry from time to time... like you, my boyfriend and I would have foreplay or oral sex, often with our underclothes on, and occasionally sperm would get on my panties/near my vagina and I'd be worried for weeks until my period showed -- but after reading up on the odds and how reproduction works, I'd say the chances are very, very unlikely...
still safer to use a condom, even for oral sex, though...(flavored condoms are available)...

Ok-- the basics are...yes, it's possible. No, it's not probable! Just ask anyone who's actually tried to get pregnant.... :)

If the sperm gets near the labia (exterior), there is a possiblity that extremely motile sperm (and there about a million EXTREMELY motile sperm in a normal ejaculate) will swim through the opening in the labia, into the vagina, through the cervical O's, and into the uterus..... BINGO! However, this is really rare! More often, people simply lie about how far they've gone (out of fear of reprocussions from family) and CLAIM that they were fully clothed and never had penetration! This tends to boost the statistics up a bit--- making non-penetration related conceptions higher than they really are. I'm NOT saying that you are lying at all...just telling you the reality of the statistic. Even with these "stories" the actual reality of this occuring is RARE!! Not impossible, but RARE!!

I wouldn't worry until you have to (when your period is late or you experience other symptoms)...otherwise...just be CAREFUL! :)

heh. to be honest, i'm not really sure-- i've never taken it, but i'm sure *someone* on here knows about it.

but i still don't think you need to worry about it...

If the situation was as "innocent" as you claim...then there's probably no need to worry! No, I wouldn't take a morning after pill. Those should be reserved for more desperate situations. They have some nasty side effects that you don't want to mess with unless you are pretty sure that the chance of conception occured!! (I.E., had sex during your ovulatory phase- 10-14 days after your last period, full-penetration with ejaculation INSIDE the vagina, and no contraception). I would relax....and if your period is late (which the stress of this may cause!) worry then!! If you want to be really proactive...take an HCG as early as the day before your periods due... until then, you're just going to have to wait!

don't worry about it...just relax and try not to think about it... the probability is so slim it's not worth all the worrying you're putting yourself through...

and it's okay ...you're not bugging us *smile*...this is what the community is for!

Sorry, needed to throw in my .02 since I have a niece from "heavy petting". He ejaculated near her and it got rubbed in near enough for her to get pregnant (Quick note, my family has a history of getting pregnant VERY easily, if yours doesn't don't worry...as much).
Morning after pills suck. So don't take them unless you absolutely have to and they cost a heck of a lot unless you're on insurance.

you can't really just "put away" something like that, i know...but you can realize that the chances are astronomically small. and, if it helps, you can come up with a plan about what you would do if that astronomically small chance came to be...but realize that it most probably won't.

and putting in 2 cents where you didn't ask: blaming yourselves for "stepping over the line" doesn't really help much, from my slightly biased viewpoint. what you've done is done, it's experience you can learn from and use in deciding what *is* relevant: what you want to do now, in the future (both in this relationship and whatever).
