my period started today. one week early. it's weird, my period is NEVER early, it usually comes on time or sometimes a little late.
i'm guessing it's because i started a new job a few weeks ago and i spend 8 hours a day in an office with 7 other girls so it's messing up my cycle.
but what else could cause my period to start a week early?

Sometimes your cycle can just go wonky for no reasons. Some reasons that can cause it to go wonky: change in living/work environment, change in the people you associate with, change in stress levels, change in diet, and change in exercise levels.

I work with like 13 women (most of them in their mid 40s - mid 50's) and suddenly my period is starting to be sort of normal. I should mention I've had this job for only about 3 months now, but the work environment is REALLY relaxed (besides the occational assface customer). I've also recently started birth control (this is my second month) which helps.

But I would guess that being surrounded by women - especially if you aren't normally in that type of environment in other areas of your life AND just plain old luck is causing the change.

yeah it probably is because of the other women i'm around. i just hope it doesn't go crazy now.

you should ask around/pay attention to see how many other girls are menstrating at the same time. i've known quite a few women whose cycles will get in-sync with women they are around all the time.
mine doesn't change because i'm on birth control.
also, periods just go wacky sometimes. you can be regular for so long, then one little change that you might not even notice in your life, and it's early, or late, or not there at all. don't stress about it. just go with the flow (pardon the pun).

my cycle always tends to get in sync with other women - it was like that at school, and in the summer it went crazy because of my sister and now i guess it's the girls at work. i know for sure that another girl who works with me started her period 2 days ago, and another one said she has cramps and thinks hers is going to start soon, so maybe i should just ask everyone and we could see what happens.
i'm not worried or anything, i never stress about it because i'm used to it, although it is annoying sometimes. i was just wondering what else could cause it.
