I'm in the hut, folks...those mad cramps the other week...??....I don't know what those were about. But, I got her tonight so woot-woot.

I used to get all upset about having my period. Inconvenience and all that...blah blah blah. But now it is always reassuring and a happy little moment. Like. woohoo I'm not pregnant! BUT I still have the ability to produce a child (as far as having a menstrual cycle would attest to).

Okay, I'm weird....that's life, though.

It's funny how becoming sexually active can give you a whole new opinion of your period. I hated mine until I started being comfortable with tampons, which was within the same frame of time as the humpin' was, but whatever the reason, it's like a breath of fresh air once every month.

Yeah it makes me feel so very feminine and womanly. Makes me remember that I have the power to create life. It is funny because I've recently decided to adopt children rather than bear (sp.) my own...I'm only 22 so that may change. But it always makes me feel like I have a little extra power going on. Brings out the feminist in me...like I want to tell everyone and throw myself a little party.

Now there's an idea...maybe I should start celebrating my period with a little treat and extend it past that little sigh of relief/proud of being a female moment in the bathroom.
