am i getting my period?

i have a question.

i am on micronor, a progestin-only pill (minipill). i went on it because i need birth control and couldn't tolerate combination pills. a common side-effect of micronor is irregular and skipped periods. i have not had my period in many months, and since i have been on micronor, have only had something like a period a couple times, but it is EXTREMELY light (only need a pantyliner). i have been on it for about 10-11 months, and i have been having very weird symptoms recently.

i have extremely sore breasts, they feel SO heavy and painful, my skin is breaking out all over the place, i can't sleep, and i also have horrible cramps (i think this is what cramps felt like...) it has been about 5 or 6 days of this so far, but no sight of blood. i am very confused. i took a pregnancy test to make sure, of course negative. i use condoms also almost every time i have sex, take pill perfectly on time, never missed, and he doesn't come in me. (sorry if TMI). so...i don't get it. i feel horrible though.

am i getting my period or am i totally messed up? i had a breast reduction 9 months ago so that could explain the breast soreness...but not really. i haven't had any pain in months. my periods used to be horrible before the minipill - 10 days long, extremely heavy, crippling cramps, crazy mood swings, killer sore breasts, no sleep, stomach pains, etc, etc, etc. but nothing this bad since then.


oyyy i'm just really miserable and feel unhealthy and sad and have been taking way too many pain relievers to function!!

You might want to go see your doc. He/she could probably reccomend some alternative methods (although I know with progestin only stuff they're hard to come by) or some ways to get your period back on track.

Meanwhile, skim through this community for a load of cramp relieving methods and take a nap!
