I got my period after being on birth control for a month and wow what a difference it makes!! I've had hardly any cramps all day long and my flow is so light!!! Normally I'm really heavy at first but this is nothing compared to what I usually have to deal with! I think I could actually live with this now.

I had that happen to me too, my first period on the pill. But the 2nd month, it was about as heavy as it usually is, even though it was several days shorter. So just be prepared for anything.

I've been on the pill for 4 years and everything seems to fluctuate -- some months heavier, some lighter but I generally don't go over say 4 days long which is a great change from my prior 10+ days.

Wow over ten days!! That's a long time. I usually go for about five.
