Does anyone else have issues of hair loss while taking the combination pill? I am on Necon 1/35-28 (generic for Ortho Novum 1/35-28) and have been on it for nearly 2 months. My hair dresser told me that my hair was breaking really easily and told me I need to stop dying it (he thought it was due to the hair dye). I just wanted to make sure it wasn't the BC doing it instead.

Also, I have NO sex drive anymore. I can hardly ever get wet at all since I started taking this pill. So I bought KY. Solved the dryness problem. Now what should I do about the sex drive?

Go back to your doctor. Not every type of pill works for everybody. Each type of pill has different levels of hormones in them, thus some cause women to lose their sexual appetite. I was put on a pill a few years back, and I had the same issue. I went back to my doctor and explained it to her and she changed the type of pill. Two weeks later, I was better than before (almost a female viagra for me).

As for the hair falling out, your pills may have too much testosterone in them for you. Make an appointment with your doctor to talk about this stuff, and whilst you are waiting, be sure to drink a lot of water (water with lemon in it works really well), to keep your hair healthy. You may also want to only use shampoo and conditioner on it every two to three days. This will help the natural oils in your hair keep everything on track.

I was horrified that would happen to me when I started the patch, but if anything I've got more of a sex drive now than I did before. I'd try a different type of b/c if I were you.
