help with a yeast infection
Sep. 22nd, 2004 01:40 pmHi
I'm in the beginnings of my very first yeast infection, naturally I'm pretty uncomfortable.
I'm getting ready to go to the health food store to pick up some acidophilus capsules....but I have a question...
I just started my period today as well (what a combination!). Will this affect my treatment with the capsules at all? Do I need to do anything different because I'm on my period?
Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Date: 2004-09-23 10:39 am (UTC)It really just helps you maintain a "healthy intestinal flora" which means that it will help your body produce anything you might be lacking from either not eating right or having some issue like a YI or the flu. It's really no different than taking a supplement when your iron or your calcium is low.
