a week or so before my period is about to start, i get some vaginal itching. when my period starts, it goes away. what's up with that?

It could be a yeast infection.

Before I went on the Pill I would always get a yeast infection before my period. Its a complete pain.

maybe? but it only happens during that one time just before my period starts, it'll be just 1-2 days of itching, then my period starts within a few days after that.

Hrm, well I put it down to my period changing the vaginal environment.

the hormones, temp ect PRIOR to my period bring it on, then the hormones, go back to a some what more normal level ... during/after the period. I'm not an expert by any means, this is just my theory.

it might be dryness. before i went on the pill i'd stop producing vaginal discharge a few days before my period, and that made me itch. now i just produce less overall, so i'm used to it.
