this month's period announced its arrival at 3 AM with gut-busting cramps.

any tips on how to lessen period-caused diarrhea?

also, anyone else have leakage problems with the divacup? i've used mine for about a year now, and it still leaks. is it possible it just doesn't fit me properly, or that i cut the stem too short?

thanks.

That'd be a good idea even if it didn't help lessen the symptoms - diarrhoea makes you lose a lot of water, and you get dehydrated.

I've found I have less belly problems in general (less bloating beforehand, fewer cramps and less diarrhoea when I'm on) if I eat healthily - lots of fruit and vegetables, lots of wholegrain cereals, no crisps or chocolate. (I'm vegetarian and eat little dairy anyway - no idea what effect that has, if any).
