Iron and Menstruation?

I started taking iron pills about 4 months ago, and recently got an iron injection to get an extra "boost". I few days later I started having my period (really early I might add, especially considering I'm on the Pill). The same thing happened this month, except my period just hasn't stopped (going on 10 days now).

Has anyone else noticed a correlation between iron and early menstruation?

I've noticed that myself too. I don't have a solution, but I would love any answers as well.
