So, last week a friend called to tell me how she left her cup at home and was camping and had to borrow a tampon from a semi-stranger. I told her, you need to keep that thing with you at all times just in case it comes early. Her excuse was it wasn't due for another couple days. I really need to follow my own advice. I wake up this morning with slight crampiness (more like throwi-upiness) and was thinking to myself, maybe I should grab my cup just in case. Then I thought, nah it's not due for 2 more days. I get to work and am working for 3 hours and then go to the bathroom and see blood on the toilet paper. Luckily there is a tampon machine in there or I would have been screwed. So, I'm wearing this thing constantly aware of it inside me. Not only that, but about 4 hours later it starts to feel as though it's going to fall out. Luckily it didn't and I made it home with plenty of time to change into my cup. But now I can honestly say I hate tampons. They are irritating in so many ways! Luckily though, my usual super bad cramps on the first day aren't really there so I'm good to go. Just a little queasy but that's not bad.

Moral of the story: If you give good advice, don't forget to take it too!

Ain't it the truth!! I think I'm paranoid and I tend to keep 'supplies' - at least in my car - all of the time. You never know when your row boat might spring a leak, yo.
