menstrualhutCan stress really throw your periods off that much?
Mine came about six or seven days early, lasted for only two days - real short and really light early this month, on the 5th and 6th. Now, it's back again on the 27th, pretty light and fading again.. What the heck? I have extremely minor cramps, about the same as I normally do.. And now I have two questions. Am I pregnant? We a) dry humped through pjs and b) he did not ejaculate.. I have NEVER been penetrated by a male, or even a tampon. Or is it just stress? I've been really, really upset since the beginning of the month over due to unrelated events (have been losing sleep, anxiety and so on). I have no symptoms of anything, just these weird periods. I'm going to the doctor's, I'm sick of guessing what's wrong with me - maybe they'll give me something for my anxiety, too, but I needed to tell somebody in the meantime because I'm a very, very nervous person. Thank you.

Date: 2004-09-28 01:54 am (UTC)I also have anxiety, and I know that for me when I worry about my period more, it gets more messed up. Stress definately changes your cycle. Also, a change in eating habits or physical activity has a lot to do with it.
I would recommend talking to a doctor about both your perios and your anxiety if you feel like you want some reassurance or help dealing with it.

Date: 2004-09-28 07:17 am (UTC)how old are you? my period wasn't regular at all until i started birth control. and my mom's was never regular until she hit menopause.
i understand about being paranoid, but stress really can make you skip entire periods or have them at odd times. you need to relax and just let your body figure itself out.
