I just started the second month of a new BC pill. Ortho 1/35. My period came on Tuesday of plecebo pills, it usually would come on Wednesday, but its not a big deal. Well Wednesday my period was really heavy and i had horrible cramps and was really tired...the way I was before taking BC. Anyways, it's been a week now since I started my period and it's still not done...well I guess it is done but I have spotting...old blood it seems. I'll give this pill 3 months to get used it as people say...right?

right. my last doctor told me it takes about 3 months for your body to fully adjust to the hormones.
i always start my period on the tuesday of placebo pills. sometimes morning, sometimes not until tuesday night when i'm asleep, but always tuesday.
even after your body gets used to it, you may still see some spotting. it's a side effect of hormonal birth control. i spot the week before my period, and it always looks like old blood. of course, my period sometimes looks like old blood now, too. it's just differences in your body as you go through life.
