i've been trying for months with disastrous results :|

I use a diva cup so I am no help here. Good luck though. I have noticed that the users that have mentioned it here all have the same sort of problem though.

I never did find a way to remove them without getting my hand drenched with the contents. Like the above poster, I use a divacup now so I don't have to worry about that anymore. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has figured out a way though because I still have a few Insteads hanging around that I intend to use for emergencies/when I don't have my diva with me.

i hook my finger underneath the pink band, so my palm's facing up and my fingertip's gone under the pink plastic and is touching the part of the clear plastic that's not filled with blood (the outside). then i *slowly* pull the cup out, supporting it more as needed so it stays upright n thus doesn't spill.

I find I have to sit leaning somewhat back on the toilet, not upright but with my hips tilted forward, and then hook my finger under the pink band with the palm up and pull it out slowly, without clenching up, keeping it level. Usually my finger gets dirty but it doesn't explode that way. If I sit straight up it gets all messed up. Good luck!
