Does anyone else noticed an increased sensitivity to alcohol or drugs shortly before their period? I haven't looked up any actual clinical observations/stats with regard to hormones, which I KNOW are a huge factor in things like this, because I'm more concerned with personal experiences. I've noticed that I always seem to have a 'bad high' when I smoke marijuana around my period, and a few weeks ago I drank and got sick on an amount that wouldn't normally have affected me so badly.

you know what... the "bad high" happened to me yesterday. it wasn't so much "bad" as it was "higher than i needed to be."

Marijuana has no effect on me when I'm not bleeding, never tried it when I am. Alcohol definitely has more of an effect when I'm bleeding - don't need as much to get tipsy or even drunk. Kindof convenient really :)

Not currently, but when my courseload at school lightens up a bit I definitely wanna research it more. I only know what happens to me and the others who responded to this question...but when I know more, I'll post it here for discussion. :)

interesting. ive never noticed a difference when im on the rag but ive never paid much attention either. perhaps ill start keeping track of things.
