Hi. I'm [livejournal.com profile] melyxa & though I've lurked a little, I'm still pretty new.

And I've got a kind of strange question. In all my 42 years, I have never once had a period that's been in synch with the full moon. Once, maybe twice, with the new moon, but that's not material. I've read and heard, all my life, of it being called "moontime," and of how our cycles synch up with the waxing of the moon and all of that good stuff. It's just never happened.

And, now, experiencing it for the first time ever, I think I'm kind of glad. I am so over the top emotionally and feel so awful physically, I scarcely know how to describe it (which is a bit of a first too, I admit).

Does anyone else notice a difference in how they feel when their moontimes synch up with the moon's time?

Doesn't help that this moon is "the blood moon" either, of course.

Thanks.
M.

Mine showed up the night before the blood moon, maybe half a week to a week earlier than it's been showing up, and instead of waiting a full day to start getting heavy like it usually does, I was goozing and cramping through my three exams yesterday. Just got out of bed, and it's still heavier than usual. Whether all this is related to the moon or being my first period as a non-virgin, who knows?
