I'm really crampy. I called in sick to work, because I just couldn't face the idea of evening rush (which I already hate) and cramps at the same time.

I just took some of my lovely herbs. I hope they kick in soon, or I'll have to go to the hydrocodone, and I hate that. It always makes me feel so blah.

Also, my cramps are so yucky that even using a tampon hurts. So I took it out- I'm just going to sit here and bleed. Anyone else ever do that?

all the time. i like having at home days when i bleed. i'll set down a red towel on my chair and do homework or reading quietly as i bleed.

Look, I'm a Witch, all right? I know all about the power contained in my menstrual blood and my the power of my period. I am aware of the power ramifications of menstruation, and I don't need to be lectured or patronized. Please.

I have something called endometriosis. This means that my period is an incredibly painful time. I'm not talking about normal mensrual cramps. I'm talking about my entire body spasming for seconds at a time. I'm talking about inability to walk, think, or sometimes breathe.

Before endometriosis, my periods were rather nice. I felt full of power and joy. But once you have this kind of pain, it becomes impossible to focus on anything else.

And I know what my body wants, as well as what my menstrual power wants, thank you.

One person's lecture or patronage is another's offering of a hand to help. I don't feel that she was doing anything other than offering a helping word... hopefully you can take a kind word in the spirit it was given.

You have my sympathies regarding your pain, and I hope that it remedies soon, one way or another, but please, maintain a respectful tongue here in the hut.
