Any vitamin supplements you girls reccommend? I take a multi already, but what's good during the bleeding days and pre-bleed, to ward away the tiredness and/or blahs/grrs/iamsnarlywomanmonster(see icon)?

I desperately crave some chamomile-brandy tea right now.

b complex, especially b12

I also take folic acid, which is a b vitamin. b is water soluble, so you can't get too much of it, and most of us get nowhere near enough.

I take Evening Primrose as an herbal supplement; it takes care of a lot of the PMS-y symptoms.

I don't know if this relieves any of the symptoms you mentioned, but my doctor specifically told me to take a vitamin with iron, or to make sure I'm getting enough iron in my diet, to prevent anemia. So I guess that might help with blah feelings (if they're anemia-related)?

As far as I know, any degree of iron defiency (which MOST females have, just not to the extent of anemia) can cause:
~ sleepiness
~ dull/brassy hair color
~ poor circulation
~ bizarre cravings
~ long/heavy periods
~ and I don't know why or what you'd call it, but a woman I work with is SEVERELY anemic and we can always tell that she's forgotten to take her iron supplements because she starts chewing ice like a madman

things that I have found that help a lot is iron and potasium. But I ALWAYS tell people, if you crave it (and it is not something you usually crave all the time like snackies and sweets) eat it, because your body is saying, look! There is something over there that I want, so gimme! This craving gets stronger when pregnant, but because of hormonal changes, women get those during their cycle as well. That and when you listen to your body, you should be eating healthy and not needing suplements (I rarely take suplements but follow my body instead, and my tests come back flying everytime!)
