I am really happy. I have finished my period before I have to fly home. I hate flying while on my period because I find it such a hasel dealing with it all on the plane, or in the aeroport. But now I don't have to worry about it all, because I am done. This also means that I shouldn't have to worry about it while I am vacation, which is great because I also don't like being on the rag when I only have a septic tank. Tampons, small though they may be, shouldn't be flushed into a septic, so you have to take the bloody thing out and wrap it, like a pad, and that can get messy. Ick!
Now there is no worries, and I should be pad/tampon free for the next one because I am going to get a menstral cup. Reading all of your posts, I have decided to go for the DivaCup for two reasons. One is that I can boil it after all is said and done and the second being that on thier web site it tells what stores in your area you can by them at. I like that because I don't like to shop on the internet. I like going to local stores and support them and talk to the people in the store about the products that I am buying. This is a big thing for me, so I want to make sure that it is the right move.
There is something magical about finishing your period. I keep looking down wondering if it is really finished. It is such a shock when it starts (even when you expect it) but all the relief that there is when it finishes is so wonderful. It doesn't stop me from doing anything, but I hate worrying about when to change and what is going on, and thinking when is the next cramp going to hit...lots of grr and stuff. But when it finishes I keep looking down wondering if it will sneak back up on me. (Ha ha....you thought that I was gone, but really I just went out for the day, and my visits for a few days longer...)
So all is done, and I won't have to worry about it for another few weeks. Because of this, I miss being on depo, but after being of bc for so long, it is nice to give my body a rest. Make sure that all the pipes still flow. I reaffirms that I am still female, because there are times when I wonder why I wasn't giving a penis (being that I have always been one of the guys, even though with my curve I could NEVER be mistook for a guys...).
So happiness for the winter break, and also no period for my exam. Added bonus is that when a guy friend of mine visits, if I feel so inclined, I can go ahead without worry of red wings...YEAH!!!

I should get mine just in time for Christmas. Not a HUGE problem, but back when I had a boyfriend (i.e. 2 weeks ago) I was planning on taking him to a hotel for the weekend as a bit of a Christmas present and I woulda had to have given him an IOU so that woulda been cheesy)

Have you tried Insteads? You really can have sex with them in and it's not messy! If you clean yourself carefully after inserting it you'll barely have any blood. I'd recommend douching to remove ALL of the blood, except that douching is pretty bad for you.

Eh, I'm single now. My ex boyfriend (who I intend to have back before long) wasn't worried about blood in any quantity. I just don't feel like I could do a thorough job seducing anyone when I'm feeling all bloaty and gross.
