I'll just dive right into it.

What can you dears tell me about mucus testing? As in, how do I do it, what consistancies correspond to what phase of the cycle, and that type of thing. I read a little something about mucus testing not long ago, and I remember thinking "Ah, I should remember this," and then I, well, didn't.

What about some links so that I may educate myself?

Someone? Anyone?

Directly following your period, you should have a 'dry-sticky CM (cervical mucous). As you approach your ovulation period, your cm will turn from sticky to creamy to watery, then to a stringy clear egg white like cm. You are most fertile when your cm is watery and egg white-like. The egg whites are the best tool in getting sperm to the egg. Once your body has released an egg and knows you can no longer actually get the sperm to the egg, your cm will turn creamy. It should remain creamy-sticky for the remainter of your cycle, until your period arrives.

If your cycles are 'normal' and your hormones are functioning, then you should be able to predict that you will ovulate around the time that you have watery-eggwhite cm. If you're on hormonal birth control--then none of this may apply as it changes that way your body 'thinks' about your cycles.

Some women experience a lot of creamy cm after an egg has implanted and the cm increases in volume in the 10+ days following ovulation.

I would highly recommend purchasing the book 'Taking Charge of Your Fertilily' (I can't recall the author. It is not only a book about getting pregnant.. but a book about understanding your body, your cycles, and how they play a role in your sexuality, your moods, and the way your body responds to sex.

I don't have any links, but I definitely recommend Taking Charge of your Fertility. I swear, I wish that every adolescent female could have a copy of that and a copy of Our Bodies, Ourselves.

I agree, although I haven't read Our Bodies, Ourselves. But I love TCOF.

I looked and if you want to read about the suggested books they're both on Amazon. (:
