It's a couple days before my period and my labia is so itchy, I want to cut it off!!
Anyone have any ideas why my labia, right at the top of my slit would be so god-awful itchy??

I know how you feel! Right before like a couple of days to a week before my period starts my labia is really itchy too, and I was also wondering if anybody knew why too?

there's always the yeast infection hypothesis too. whenever anyone says 'itchy' i think that, but really i learned that the nerves in the labia transmit most kinds of pain as itching, so it's not only yeast infections that do it! :-)

or a bacterial infection. i get HORRIBLE itching when i get BV...nooo fun.

Usually around my period I get itching. (really bad itching)
A lot of times, women get discharge and itching around their period, but it's separate froma yeast infection. IT would make sense that women would start to get discharge and whatnot around their special time, because your body is getting rid of lining and all that good stuff.
If you still have itching after your period is over, then I'd go see a doctor because it may be a yeast infection. But other than that, I think what you're feeling is pretty normal.

I usually get that at the end of my period. Unless it's so bad I can't think straight or it's accompanied by a burning sensation, I attribute it to excess moisture that tends to get trapped in that general area (caused by pads or liners).

yeah i get that too, only mine was caused by tampons. so i learnt to use liners instead of light absorbancy tampons at, the end.
