i searched the archives but i wasn't able to find the answer to my specific question.
i am sure i have BV, and this time instead of going to the doc, i thought i would try the acidopholous. soooo, i went to my grocer and found a TON of different kinds, different strengths, etc. i thought about just getting the cheapest onoe, but some of the others looked "more official," if you know what i mean. so the question is, do you have a specific brand you like or recommend, or does it really matter? and which strength do you choose? if the strength is higher, do you use it less than twice per day?

thanks!

i got the cheapest brand and it seemed to work fine. i used to have a real problem with BV. when i felt it coming on, i'd put one pill into my vagina every morning and one every night until it cleared up. it caused a big mess in my panties, but i never needed an antibiotic!

hmm, i'll have to try that for next time.
i just had a physical and i was asking my doctor about BV because there was a time last year when i couldn't seem to get rid of it. she suggested drinking orange juice around the time i get my period because it'll help keep the ph in a normal range as BV in more likely to occur after your period when the ph can falter due to everything that's going on.

I'm not sure what kind I have but my local health food store only carries one brand of it. It was about $13 and it is one of the stronger ones that you're supposed to keep cold. I got it when I was sick with pneumonia and used it after I was done with all of my super strong drugs that they had me on. Now I use it when things start feeling not so normal (I take about 1-2 a day) along with 100% cranberry pills (2-4 a day).
