About a week ago I started getting a rash on my breast. The area under my right breast was irritating me, and I sort of ignored it and hoped it would go away, but today when I examined it a few days later, I discovered tender skin, and a sort of splotchy rash/little scabby spots.

Today, it still hasn't gone away - it's spread a little more across my breast, and it's scabbing in tiny little spots. It's really itchy, and I feel like I'm abraising the skin when I scratch it, but it's driving me crazy. Suggestions? Ideas? I'm getting desperate here!

It says in the community info that any women's health issues are fair game... It's all cool. :)

ive heard of that before...you should probably get that checked out, I read some where that it can sometimes be a fungus, something like athletes foot or ring worm, cause my moisture and the warm environment...yeah difinately get that checked...maybe its just irratation from your bra?

Without insinuating that you're not bathing (*gasp*), are you sweating more than usual lately? It could be the material of the bra irritating you like suggested above, or it could also be that the sweat is making your skin break out. For the next couple of days, you could try keeping that area dry with some talcum powder or deodorant/anti-perspirant. If it doesn't stop itching/chafing, I'd suggest going to a doctor.

It could be a yeast infection. When those appear on the skin, they leave a rash behind, with scaly red skin.

It kind of sounds like hives, which I get occasionally on my chest / torso, but it could very well be a yeast type thing..which from what I hear can also be brutal on other areas.
