My friend is much older than me, She's 16(Me, Im only in 8th grade going to 9th next year) She missed her period a few times, and decided to get a home-pregnancy test. It turned up positive. She went to the doctor who told her she was almost 3 months preganant. She thought and pondered, and eventually decided to get an abortion, before anyone signficant found out(Her friends, Her boyfriend, her classmates etc.) Now shes just wondering how long would it take to get her period back?

*I am only a messenger. If any of these facts dont seem straight, i will try as best i can to clear them up.

3 months pregnant? You can't get an abortion that late I don't think..

well it depends. 3 months exactly is the marker for first trimester. you can get a second trimester (3-6 months) abortion too in some cases. but maybe she's just estimating and it's really 2 months and 2 weeks or something, in which case it's still first trimester, like most abortions.

Depends where she lives. They will do late term abortions here in Canada.

As far as I know, many states will do it THROUGH the 3rd month because technically months 1-3 are the 1st trimester, 4-6 are 2nd, and 5-9 are the 3rd.

Does your friend regularly go to an Obstatrician/Gynocologist? If so I would suggest going to her or getting an appointment to see one. Ob/Gyns know more about this than regular doctors. As far as it being too late, usually the deadline mark for those is somewhere around mid-to-end first trimester.
