this is probably really stupid, but oh well..

when you're getting ready to start your period, is it supposed to be so light, that it's just light blood when you wipe?

i've been having cramps like i have when i'm on my period, but no blood...until now. my period is supposed to be here anytime, and i wasn't sure if that was it just getting ready to start full-on..

mine pretty much always starts with just pinkish fluid and spotting for the first few hours. which is convenient since it gives me a little warning to get my diaphragm in before flooding my clothes :)

yeah. it can be spotty for the first 24 hours even, though usually it takes less than 12 to start in earnest.

is it normal for cramping to come with that spotting?

yeah, i get cramping when it's just spotting a bit. i usually get cramps a few days before my period actually starts too.
