Short period

I've been on the pill for the last three months and my boyfriend and I have been having sex for this time. I was over 12 hours late taking a pill a few weeks ago, and slept with my boyfriend without using any other form of protection 6 days later (the recommended time is 7 days with other contraception). When I reached the end of my pack (last wednesday) I started bleeding at the usual time (saturday) but it only lasted until Monday. my periods have been getting lighter but my last one was still 5 days. Is 3 days still ok? I've got a pregnancy test just in case, because I've been told you can still bleed whilst pregnant, but I could do with some reassurance. I figured this would bethe best place to ask, because it's really about period length. I looked briefly in the memories but I didn't see anything about this.

I would wait a while before before I took the test, just to make sure, but I have had periods that were really short before, like my last one, and i have not had sex in a long time so the only way that I am getting pregnant is by immaculate conception (and I am just not pure enough for that). Relax because it might be nothing.

The test was fine but I bought two in case I suspect anything later. I did a bit of checking out and apparently 3 days is normal enough. It's probably just a side effect from taking the pill. I'm feeling relaxed about it now, it's pretty cool having really short periods! thanks for the response.
