Jan. 22nd, 2005 09:46 amSo, I've been using Instead cups for a while now, and never had any problems with them. I got my period the other day, put the cup in, and went about my life. Yesterday, while at work, I went to the bathroom to empty the cup. The handicap stall in the employee bathroom has it's own sink, which is wonderful for rinsing the cup off, and then washing one's hands. So I'm sitting on the toilet, having just rinsed out the cup, and go to give it a shake to get the excess moisture off. And I have that split second of realization, that I don't have a good grip on it. It goes flying. Hits the ground, and rolls right under the door. So there I am, sitting with my pants around my ankles, and my cup somewhere out in the main part of the bathroom. I have to yank my pants up (yay dark colors), and go search for it, eventually seeing it had rolled completely under the sink. A good washing gave me time to think up an excuse tot ell my coworkers why I was taking so long.
Ah, the fun of alternative menstrual products.
