Hello girls,

Just a quick question. I'm going to (hopefully) try to induce my period this weekend with the tea I read about in the memories. I don't have some massive event that I don't want Auntie Flo for or anything, i'm just having *insanely* bad PMS symptoms, and it shouldn't begin for almost a week, so I just want to make it start now. But enough background.

Question: will inducing a period a week early have an affect on the next period? Assuming one is (normally) fairly regular, would one's next period still come 28 days after the induced period began, or 28 days after said induced period would have naturally come?

I'm not totally sure as I have no medical info to back it up - but I would say that unless the tea affects your hormones, then your cycle should be semi normal. However, it might just re-adjust to the new cycle. Hopefully someone here can help you better than I can ;)

well the tea may not induce your period if you're not due for it.

it worked wonders on starting my late period.... but if you're body's not ready to shed the lining of the uterus it won't. no matter how much tea you drink

I second this. If you are not due for a week, then you lining is not ready to shed. If you are having bad PMS then you might want to look into other herbal things to reduce the PMS. Drinking the tea will not jump start your period. You have to be due for it already. Drink lots of water, because that will help with the bloating (no joke...it fulshes out the salt that is built up!) and try taking St John's Wort tea, or camomile tea. I don't know what your symptoms are, but those are just a few things to consider. Also if you start taking Chaste Tree tea or capsels now, by you next period, you will notice a great difference in your PMS.
