I just started using the diva cup and I must say that I hope that I am not the only person that can say that this feels funny. I followed the directions that came with the cup regarding insertion, yet I can still feel it inside me. PLEASE.... someone tell me that this is going to pass. and has anyone ever had cramping after insertion?
Any advice from those of you who use this device would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you,
cali

I stopped feeling it after I cut the tail completely off.

I'm with the previous poster about cutting the stem off. It annoyed me completely before I did that. I wasn't sure how I would get it out if I did so, but then you just use your vaginal muscles to push it down and you can grab it by the base. Also, don't put it up too high. I made that mistake and experienced leakage.

You really have to follow the instructions on the DivaCup in order for it to work properly, 'cause I was just screwing the whole thing up initially and was feeling sad that it wasn't working for me. Now I'm doing it right and all is well. It generally takes going through two cycles to figure it out.

The size that I got should be shorter then what you got. It was about two inches long, without that tail thing that I am cutting off.

You could be feeling it because you're tense and are just super aware of anything down there. It was like that for me when I first got mine. The more I got used to it, the less I noticed it, but I didn't completely stop feeling it until I cut off the stem. If you decide to trim the stem, I recommend you only do a little bit at a time. Just be aware if you cut it shorter than 1/4" you violate the warranty and won't be able to return it should you need to.

I saw that you mentioned it's rubbing your cervix. If it's the length that's bothering you, you may need to switch to the Mooncup. The Mooncup is slightly shorter in comparison, but it seems to work for the women I've talked to who had a similar problem.
