My period stopped last September. I know that you can make a late period come with parsley. But will that work for a period that has stopped for several months? I really hate parsley tea so I don't want to drink any if it isn't going to work. Please help if you know anything. Thank you.

Chances are that it will not work. Do you know why your period has stopped? Have you lost/gained a lot of weight? Have you been sick? Did you go on any medications? See if you can find Chaste Tree caspules. If your period is missing because of non-preggers or weight related issues, it might help get your body back in gear and start your period up again. Raspberry leaf tea also helps, but the capsules are much easier to handle, esp if you don't like parsely tea...

I suggest you go to a ObGyn. While it's not unusual to miss a period here and then, it's definitely not good to not have a period in 5 or so months. There are any number of reasons why it just doesn't want to come -- stress, medication, depression, anxiety, weight gain/loss. It happens to everyone from time to time. But only a doctor can really tell you what's best for you.

... and pregnancy.

I've known some women who didn't know they were preggo til their 7th month. x_x So let's not rule out that possibility unless she's a virgin

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. I was totally regular until I started college. Since then, it's been all over the place. Maybe it's just a college thing? But I'm also kind of reluctant to go on the Pill -- I don't need it for BC, just to regulate my cycle, because it's pissing me off to hell and back.
Still, a doctor might be able to tell you why things are all weird, even if they can't necessarily do much for you. Best of luck.

I'm not pro-Pill either, so I'm definitely with you there. I had a friend who had very irregular periods and I can ask her what she did. I also read in Christiane Northrup's book, Women's Body, Women's Wisdom about a study where women with irregular periods slept with a night light on by their beds on 3 nights in the middle of the cycle (just pick a month and decide where you want your midcycle to be) and that over half of them ended up with regular periods (average 29 day cycle) solely with that. I can do a little more research in her book if you want more mainstream ideas, or I can look more for herbs if you want that (I commented below too about herbs). Just let me know!

Hi, I've never heard about parsley tea, but I guess it's not a great bet if you hate it! I'm researching menstruation at the moment and have found that most people who stop menstruating do so after a period of stress. I had the same problem and I sarted to do yoga. There are lots of postures you can do in yoga that really help. And its good for the soul too. Take care!

Wise Woman Herbal for the Childbearing Year. Now, I know that isn't an issue, but this is a good book for menstruation and contraception too. She suggests ginger: 1 tsp. dried powdered root into a cup of boiling water. Let cool and steep and drink. Or similar amounts of the fresh root in hot water. Take no more than 4 cups per day. Since ginger is a food herb, it's very safe.

There's a whole list of other emmenagogues (menstruation promoters) and I can put them in here if you're interested. Just let me know.

Go to a ObGyn..as they say. But if there is nothing wrong you might enjoy the lack of menses..

In Tantra Yoga menstrual blood is known to be a great loss of energy, and many women work hard to stop or diminish their flow. To stop one's menstrual flow is seen as a great accomplishment. And there are women known to have lived a long and healthy life without menstruation. And had children..though..
So..see the bright side..too

Your are right..untill a certain level

These are physiological rules which are indeed true for most "normal people"
The mind and belief is essential. If you believe in it, it is true. If you strongly believe something else, which is in harmony with the Divine and you have enough energy to back you up then you pass beyond physical laws. For those who have a high spiritual level these laws do not apply entirely or do not apply at all. I have myself experienced such "exceptions from the rule" on a smaller scale- as my spiritual level is not as high as it could ;) and I know about the great exceptions from people that I trust entirely.
Still if you strongly believe that you are subject to the physiological laws then indeed you should solve the problem in the "normal way".I wish you good health!

Sorry

Really sorry now!

I didn't want it to sound that way. I just knew some things and felt like you should know what other possibilities there are. You are right..Harmony is possible on every level.Didn't mean you don't have it.
I wish you the best!
Friends? :)

I don't know that. I will anyway search information on it and bring it in if I can find something interesting.
I am a Biologist so I am not too far away from science, physiology, and still know that they have their limits.

Anyway, just as there are "healthy" women who have heavy periods and also women who lose little blood, or even the same woman might have times with heavy periods and times with light periods(don't know if it sounds ok in English but you know what I mean) especially connected to emotional/mental states, and still have the same more or less balanced hormonal system, then I do believe that there is the possibility of a fine hormonal balance and normal shedding of the uterine layers with little bleeding.
