intentionally delaying period?
May. 1st, 2005 04:39 pmHere's the situation:
I just went off the pill last month, and my last period started on 3/20. I HAD 28 day cycles before that, when I was on OTC. I have an appointment on the 19th to get an IUD. I'd like to be on my period then, but the ppl at the Dr's office are relatively inflexible and my schedule is hectic as hell (finals, etc). So, I've heard a lot about forcing period to start early, but is there anyway to do this in the other way?
Thanks,
Danielle

Date: 2005-04-10 10:48 pm (UTC)just make sure to take some extra strength tylenol or something in advance (i took 2 8 hour tylenol about an hour before i went) and bring someone to hold your hand if possible! my boyfriend really helped with that, and have that person drive you home (i was fine to drive, but nicer to be driven). don't make any plans for that night, if possible just sit and watch TV or a movie or something.
those are my insertion tips! i hope you love the IUD as much as i love mine! (i posted in vaginapagina community earlier today that i wanted this to be "tell a friend about IUDs day"!)
