I looked through the memories, learned new things but not what I'm worried about. I may just be incredibly naive BUT I need some answers. I recently started taking birth control pills and an currently on the placebo pills. I started taking the pills on a Sunday about 2-3 days after I finished my period. SHOULD I be on my period now???

Before I started taking the pill I usually went a full 30 day cycle from when my period ended to when my next period started. Would my period stay this way, even though I'm taking the pill?

It says on the information that came with the pill that skipping your period the first month you get on the pill isn't unusual, but call me paranoid but I'm worried I could be pregnant. Is this worry incredibly premature and am I losing my mind?

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much :D

your period is supposed to start during the placebo week, because how most BC pills work, is that they fool your body into thinking you're already pregnant. when the hormones stop (the placebo week) your body goes "oh shit! i'm not pregnant! better get rid of this lining!" and your period comes. if the literature says that you might skip a period the first month, then i'd chock it up to that so you can stop worrying :) if, however, you don't get your next period, THEN worry :-P

...and if you feel the need to check before you go another cycle, get a pregnancy test.

best wishes!
