I'm using an herbal abortifacient, black cohash.

I read up on Sister Zeus that this is a pretty effective treatment.

I was wondering if anyone else has tried it.

I took a pregnancy test last night and it came out negative, but I don't want to take any chances.

Also, I've had my period for ten years and it's NEVER been regular. EVER.
Is there something wrong with me???

Ah, join the club. I've had mine for almost that long and have *never* been able to tell when I'd get my next period.

if you're not pregnant, there's no reason to use an abortifacient (though at least black cohosh doesn't seem to be very dangerous). for future reference you should take pregnancy tests 14 days after possible conception with your first morning urine to get the most accurate result.

it's normal to have an irregular period, though it does make it less easy for you to get pregnant, generally.

Black cohash is more a helper herb, I would suggest trying it with either blue cohosh or dong quai.

Irregular periods, by themselves, are normal. :) Relax!! Sometimes they become regular with time, sometimes they don't. I've been irregular for the better part of 25 years now, and the doc keeps telling me I'm fine.

My mom didn't start having regular periods until after her second pregnancy (i.e., me). She was, I believe, 32 when I was born. I wouldn't worry.

My periods are irregular as well! I started menstruating around age 12 (but off and on...from age 12-14 itd skip a few months between). I'm now 27. My cycle is anywhere from 30 to 35 days. I never know when I'm going to get it (though oddly it tends to come around the time of the dark moon - which is the time between the full and new moon if you follow that stuff). I just have to stay tuned into what my body is telling me.

I hear you! I started when I was ten and I've NEVER skipped a period at all... I feel very PMS-y (craving chocolate, broke out, sore breasts, bad mood) but nothing's really coming...

I dunno, it might be all the stress I've been under lately (boy problems, transferring colleges, work). That seems like it would make any female late. >.

Yeah, I tend to get PMS-y...but...boom...no period. I get rather, I wouldn't say depressed, but down-and-out (feeling like everything's going wrong) and my face breaks out and I feel plain crappy. I'd think my period's coming but sometimes it doesn't. Usually I get sore breasts a few days before my period comes but some months I don't get the sore breasts. My sure way of knowing my period is right around the corner (as in coming THAT day) is the funny feeling in my stomach.

My period didn't didn't regulate until I was about 21, seven years after the first time I got it. It's very likely there's nothing wrong with you.

you really don't have to worry about being pregnant if you have a negative pregnancy test unless the "test" line doesn't show up
