Period and the moon

My period tends to coincide with the full moon (well, around that time). Does anyone else have this and do you think it affects PMS or the way you feel generally?

My period was synched up with the moon for the first two months of this year. Now it isn't anymore and I can't tell a difference between the two times.

They say in ancient days a women's menstrual cycle corresponded with the phases of the moon. I have a great interest in this and have been trying to do some study up on it.

However, I think with so much artificial light in these modern times it may not be that way anymore. I will say though (as I mentioned in response to someone's previous entry) that I tend to get PMS/my period around the time of the dark moon, which is the time between the full and new moons. I've realized that my last few cycles. Not that that helps all that much because that time between is a good 2 weeks. :)

well i am on birth control so it is definitely artificial :p. i was just wondering if it tended to make one moodier or something :)
