Hi, I was wondering if someone could please tell me how bad it is to get your period 2 weeks after you just had it. I was on birthcontrol and it was making me throwup up, so I talked to my doctor and switched to a new one, my doctor said I didnt have to wait but to just go on to the new form of BC(went from the patch to pill). So I did and continued to feel sick/throw-up...so 3 pills into the pack I just stop, I wanted to just let my body totally calm down for maybe like a month and then get a new pack and try again.

My last period was April 12th, and I was on the patch, it lasted for 5 days. the next week was when I started my pills and went off of them suddenly on Wed so I would stop getting sick....well I woke up today and my period had started again. My doctors office is closed today and just feel really worried. Should I just let this period continue? I would assume it would be unhealthy to have my period again when I just had it! This isnt a bC question, I just concerned about getting my period again so early.

Any advice of help would be great T_T I'm so worried.
Thanks you.

Your body is probably confused. You were on the pill and then went off of it... so your body probably went, "Oh, no hormones, time to have a period!" so that's what it did. I wouldnt be worried unless it's painful or very heavy- if it is, then go to the clinic. I would, however, go to the doctor when it opens on Monday, or at least talk to your doctor on the phone about it so that s/he knows. But for now, I wouldn't fret.

Hmmm...I wouldnt be too worried. Especially since it sounds like it definitly has something to do with your BC. If it was something that was happening on an every month basis, then there may be means for concern.

I would bring that up to your doctor if it happens again.

You will always get a period when you stop taking pills.

how pill work is elevating your hormones to a certain peak and then during the "period week" those hormones are taken away and that triggers the period. So if you stop BC after being on it for a week or two (so the patch plus the three days on the pill) then your body will get used to the elevation and then when suddenly not, have a period. Normal as can be.
((I know you said this wasn't a BC question, but...)) Just a fair warning, a lot of women when on birthcontrol get nausiated. The reason for this is because the body thinks that it is preggers, and if you might get mourning sickness when actually preggers, you might get mourning sickness when pretending to be preggers. Same thing with weight gain... So if you feel nautious during the next round see if you can't find those accupressure bracelets that aleiviate nausia. It is what I used while my body readjusted to the hormones. I found that it only happens during the first month of new hormones (pill then later depo). Being too natious is not a good thing. It was a really good thing that you went back to your doctor. Kudos for you!
