I'm new and I've got a question.

I hardly ever exercise but in the past two weeks I've been going crazy at it.

Now, my period is late.

Would a sudden bout of exercise throw off my perfectly regular cycle?

P.S.

it's not predictable. but it's good that you're exercising! hope you make it part of your weekly pattern. you can also take a pregnancy test if that will help ease your stress level, they only cost about $7. your sanity is worth that much!

I don't think a preggers test is gonna help ye much.

Few months back when I was exercising daily, and losing weight, etc., my period didn't fluctuate at all, and I was kinda expecting that it would. Make sure you're eating plenty of good things... protein etc.

I think what she meant by ease her stress is ease her stress of missing her period because she thinks she's pregnant. :) I did the same thing, lol!

Basically, your body needs some stability in order to ovulate. Its terrific that you are getting healthier, but your body is a bit rattled and confused. When things beign to settle down into a normal routine, you will ovulate. Abotu two weeks later, you'll get your period. Be aptient, your body knows what it is doing.

I've personally had mine delayed anywhere froma few days to a few weeks becasue of illness, travel or change in lifestyle.

Ugh, I hate the travel related period delay... schlepping around a half a bag of always through Europe, petrified Flo was gonna find me at any moment!

Yep. I just got mine after I started exercising upwards of 4-5 hours a week.
