Hi. Right now, im in the hospital with a mild-severe case of asthma *i should be re-leased tommorrow*..but um, since i hadn't been the hospital in at least six months, they made me take a test to see if i had aquired any resistance to medication..one swab went up my nose, the other up my bum. Earlier that day, i had JUST gotten my period *i'm offically a "new" member*, and when i went to swipe my bum, i found that there was blood on it..sorry, if this question sounds completely and totally stupid, i just wanted to know, if blood is SUPPOSED to be there in your bum and bottox area.. thanks.

Sincerly,
A NEW member of the period crew. Also, im hunched over in cramps, so any methods of help without pills would be greatly appreciated.

The blood can get there, but your bum shouldn't be bleeding. I found that when I was using pads that the whole period stuff just got everywhere. If your bum is bleeding it is probably due to the swabbing and you should ask the nurse about that.

[livejournal.com profile] ladieophilia's advice pretty much covers it about where blood should and should not be. in regard to the cramps, heat, moderate excersize, and orgasms usually help if you want to avoid pills

Heat I definately agree with. As for the moderate exsorcise, with the asthma cardio may be problematic. Something like yoga, since it steatches, would be really good alternate. Orgasms, being that she is new to the whole thing,a dn therefore I am going to guess young, can come later, much later.

It's never too early to start exploring oneself and masturbating to orgasm. :)

yoga owns. i started my period yesterday morning, just got out of my vinyasa/ashtanga yoga, and i feel fantastic, on top of the world wonderful. it's amazing. i would think it would actually be really good for someone with asthma, since it really requires that you watch and control your breath.

birth control is a possible option....it made my cramps all but dissappear....but that to a kid....yeah her parents would flip....mine didn't but I've got PCOS so it dosen't count.

Another option that my sister just recomended is green tea with lots of honey and yoga. It will teach muscle control and breathing to help make the pain less.

Unless you're using tampons (and assuming they're not leaking) that blood is gonna get everywhere. Pads are wonderfully non-invasive, but man there's no getting used to that early morning "blood in the crack" feeling. Bleh.

I used to get that with pads and I hated it. It's been much better since I started using a DivaCup (no more sticky blood in the bum crack!).
