is it normal to start your period on the last day of the month when you've already had it that month?

Yes - because a menstrual cycle isn't always calendrial. I have a 28-day cycle regularly so I occasionally get two periods in one calendrial month.

Plus, not everyone is exactly regular :)

A *normal* cycle is anywhere from 26-34 days. Say you were to start your cycle on the first of July and you had a regular period of 28 days. That would mean that your next period would start on the 28th of July, so yes it is perfectly normal. The calendar we go by is a human invention and has nothing to do with your cycles.

Possible but rare because it is the same as a blue moon. Like the previous poster said, cycles can be shorter than one month, average being 28 days, so it is easily conceivable that if you have it at the beginning of the month you will get it back at the end. Also, for February, it is possible to have it at the end of the month before and skip Feb all together, getting your period at the beginning of the next month.
Start looking at how many days apart your period is instead of whether you have had a period in the month and worries about skipping or doubling in a month.
