I need recommendations for a good ObGyn ... I live in the Sellwood area, will be paying out of pocket, so price must be taken into consideration too.

Maybe you could ask your old doc for a recommendation? There's a slight chance that could help... (like when I was 10, living in GA and my dad needed a good cardiologist.. called his old doc in RI and he knew somebody at Emory)

If you are paying out of pocket and are looking for someone to handle "normal", maybe you should consider a certified nurse midwife. The cost tends to be less, personal attention and throughness are increased.

Of course, if you have a bunch of serious pathology going one, then you need an MD, but an advanced practice RN can be a fantastic provider for others.

From what I've seen, midwifes often are a part of a doctor's practice.
