I have now had my Paragard for three months, and my period seems to be getting a bit more regular. i came off depo to my IUD, and all went well. but i have a question.. has anyone else had MASSIVE bleeding on paragard? i know it has no hormones in it, so it is my body all on its own? but i am overbleeding tampons in two hours and leaving the bathroom wondering if i am bleeding way too much. any info or experiences would be appreciated. this has been x-posted to iud_divas

i'm thinking that since the iud kind of by definition leaves your uterus in a state of irritation all the time, that that might account for some extra heavy flow. I could be wrong... I have a friend who has an IUD, and she has very heavy/painful periods.

goodluck!
