Sep. 27th, 2001 12:54 pmI just joined this community, so I figured I'd say hello. :)
I have a question -- do you think there is any chance at all someone could be pregnant after taking several pregnancy tests (which all came out negative) and getting their period? This seems like a rather stupid question (correction it is), but I am a bit obsessive about these kinds of things. Plus, it never hurts to get someone else's opinion.
Oh...and is it possible for stress to delay your period? Because when I though I may have been pregnant, I waited a week until taking a pregnancy test and the day after I did (it came out negative), I got my period. Another example is, my friend was two weeks late, and she took a pregnancy test and got her period. Anyone know if this is just a coincidence or that stress can cause it to be late?

Date: 2001-09-27 09:51 am (UTC)in answer to your latter question, stress can certainly knock your cycle off kilter. in fact, it seems that quite a numbe rof folks here in the hut recently have been having the same tardiness/skipping symptoms.

The day I was supposed to get my period, I had very little blood and the following day I had some type of brownish liquid. I waited a week, took the test and it came out negative. The day after, I had my period (a normal flow, and for about five or six days). I just couldn't understand why I had the brownish liquid and why I was a week late. Then I thought it was possibly the stress theory, and I figured I'd find out. :)

Date: 2001-09-27 10:04 am (UTC)Observation: A lot of girls are late this month, it seems. I've never seen so many commenting on it in the Hut until now. I think the events of the past month have got us all messed up.
